Good news; I got a new laptop and everything I need is on here pretty much and, we got a wireless router so I'm typing here in my studio ~ bliss! Bad news: I was super flu sick yesterday. Yuck, I never get those. I'm just so happy I'm well enough to be able to type right now and that I have an explanation to those eerie chest sensations I've had for the last two weeks. So yay to health! We had a pretty special weekend before I got the consumption. My dad was performing at the local air show and my brother came out with his family to check it out too. It was a sweet family reunion.
Not that I'm a little biased but I have to say that my dad was the best act there. He flies his glider to the song "Born Free" playing on the speakers and his wings shoot off technicolor smoke (at least I think it was technicolor - or maybe I was getting consumed already).
Next time we do the air show I'm going to wear my hat (I think I may have burned my eyelids), sunglasses (eyelids.ouch.) and I'm going to bring those earmuff/headsets for the kids for some of them jet planes are way too loud for little ears. I think that's another reason I loved my dad's performance so much. So quiet, peaceful and organic.
And as you can plainly see here Kale was pretty smitten ~ with grandpa and the glider.
And the previous day before all that high flying action the other handsome daredevil in my life, Craig, attempted an epic climb with two of his climbing buddies. That up there is Mount Gimili. There are ten pitches in total but the first pitch took the three of them two and a half hours to pull off so they decided to pack it in.
But not before they made an encounter with this little guy. He was pretty curious. And cocky. Showing off how he can scamper up and down effortlessly what's been taking them silly humans hours to surmount. Okay, off to down more ginger tea. Salut!
