Edie's been asking for matchy-match aprons ever since we saw a pair hanging up on display at the fabric store. I asked for the pattern way back then (Simplicity 2626 by the way) and they were all sold out. But, oh no, Edie would not let me forget. On a recent trip back to the Fabric store she reminded me to ask if they have them back in stock and much to her chegrin - they did! I also let her pick out the fabric and bias tape. She made some pretty cute choices, that little monkey. Just in case your curious, I'm sporting my apron on top of my new Super Long Long Johns in banana split because it's fun to try to do the splits in them. Well, plus they're yellow like banana. They're extra long leggings so you can pull them over your feet to keep them warm whilst watching movies and knitting. I might be offering these in the shop in an organic cotton soon.
Just in time too these aprons for homeschooling is starting up again pretty quick. I am deeming Mondays to be baking day and we'll be baking up our week's supply of sourdough while sporting this Mommy and Me ensemble. And maybe wear them out to the restuarant for cheap organic chicken wing night. Things can get messy in the frenzy!
