How's this for a new feature idea? Sustainable Style Wednesdays. The challenge is to try to show off an ensemble that is 80% either made by hand or thrifted. If you want to play around that'd be cool. Let me know if you do and leave a link to your blog post please.
Though it looks like I have to go pee real bad, what is really happening here is I'm finally leaving the house after a week of nursing my poor, sick husband. He's better now thanks to my keen nursing skills:
hat: handmade by my dear friend Anni from Conciously Altered. The town folk always remark I look like a Russian princess when I sport it. I love that.
shawl: handknit by me using Fleece Artist Mo yarn in this unreal bright purple.
vest: sewn by me, I believe this is a discontinued hottpattern pattern.
pants: sewn by me in brown velour, ugh! another discontinued. Downloadable here though.
shirt: sewn by me in organic cotton/hemp blend, hotpattern plain and simple fitted tee
boots: tsubo
mittens: Marks Work Wearhouse
merino longjohns and top: store bought here in Nelson
Okay, I'm going to try this again next Wednesday. I'm also going to try to figure out the timer on my camera so as not to disturb my healing patient too much!
