Rest Lazured
Feels like we haven't seen the sun here for a while so when it poked out for a few minutes yesterday so it was like a siren went off in the house and all nesting frenzy stopped and Mama was screaming "Okay! Camera's coming out! Let's pick up all the crap off the floor, people! Edie, out of your jammies let's get some pictures for the blog and head outside!!".
I was hoping to be able to capture the amazing walls this special angel known as Sat Kaur blessed our home with (again). Here she is in action sprinkling her fairie dust:
Sigh. I miss her. But it's tricky to do the walls justice for this photo session was too rushed and our beds were hastily if at all made, I was running around so things are blury, the new rooms are pretty tiny so it was tricky to capture things from the right angle. But if you could imagine I'm so very happy with the outcome. I'm totally in love with Sat Kaur's work and want to nestle into it forever and ever.
I felt for a while that my body was waiting for the painting of these rooms to be finished before the labour games begin but we have since moved our beds down here about a week and half ago and I guess my body/baby is waiting for something else. Perhaps for us to all get over this nasty cough (it's hit Craig particularly hard).
Check out the stainglass! This went up too right after the lazure job. This will ensure quiet and dark (other than a rainbow reflection on the wall Edie loves) as opposed to an open triangle hole in the wall. Gavin the Glassman did this one (again!). Love our Happy House team!
The bed in the master bedroom was a mess so that omitted capturing that little corner of the room. We have a king and it juuuussst squishes into position there. Surprisingly comfy in fact though a little tricky to navigate into with my giant belly.
Our room was done up in blues and pinks and mmmmmm. Love it. Sat Kaur was getting the message that the ceiling had to come down over the bed so I dyed some silk scarves in pinks and blues and layered them like a canopy over our fluffy nest and apparently the two colours together are good for baby to stare up at for it mimicks the colour of the placenta. Mmmmm... can't wait to get my hands on some of that placenta!
