While Tangerine Dreams

Orange you happy?

Here are the bits and pieces of juicy orange around here. The little munchkin on the lower right is my friend Natashia's little girl, Katka. They're visiting from England. She's the sweetest little thing. Always smiling and copying my laugh. So cute.

I'm a little behind the crafty front. I need to felt some more soap for the LYS carrying my stuff so I'll do that while the Tangerine naps today. Plus, I received an exciting note from Canada Post informing me of a pick-up (finally!). I was hoping to get a few bags completed for the sewalong I'm a part of but now it looks like I may be at the ranch next week so I don't know how many I'll be able to pump out before month's end.

One thing's for sure I'll get lots of knitting done on the road! This Sunday I'll get some more done on the Easter Bunny at my class and I'm totally on a roll with the vest so ... yeah, next week some FO's.

Today, the Monkey needs some rainpants to go with her too big rain coat. And little rubber booties that fit her chubby feet. I just hate shopping off-line for some reason! I'll see you guys on Monday. I'll try to quickly post some reds and purples for the colour play tomorrow. Play safe.

White On

Today's colour is white, black and greys. It's an amazing rainy day here which suits this theme perfect. The kitty is Miss Kitty! (the exclamation point is an important part of her name). I've had her since I was sixteen (let's just say she's old now) and she's my best girlfriend. Thank god that she and Edie get along famously. Happy Grey Day.

Feeling Blue

Feeling a little blue today so this colour game started by MeCosy is right up my alley. Tuesday is blue and I'm not feeling so hot so far. I won't get into it but I'll be okay. You need to feel down once in a while to feel up, right?

Instead of posting lots and reading other blogs (too much, anyway) I spent the morning knitting further into my Electra vest. I love this project so much. The yarn I'm working with is so lovely and therapeutic.

I'll be more "talkative" tomorrow I'm sure. Until then I'll have my camera ready for greens in my life (lots of that) and hopefully some fabric to show for my bag for Sew? I Knit! club.

Green Machine

I joined a new Flickr group created by Curious Bird. Collages of Colour. Funny how this collage excercise brings to my attention how I'm always surrounding myself in green in this chapter of my life. New beginnings. Especially in my knitting. Come to think of it, even my "K-is for Kathy and for Knitting" bag is quite obnoxiously green as you can see for yourself:

This was one of my first ever knitting projects so that explains me looking a little "MRF" (for any of you who also think that Arrested Development is only the best show EVER! - for those of you  who don't know that yet MRF stands for "Mildly Retarded Female" - Charlize Theron's special guest star appearance character).

I guess we can safely lable it Apple Green. My world's colour right now. The first colour Edie Tangerine has ever seen. I like it.

I start a knitting class on Sunday. Again, at my new favourite LYS, Make 1 Yarn Studio - half owned by Indiegirl of Indiegirl Knits. Super stoked! Saturday, instead of my usual SnB get-together I am joining Edie's favourite babysitter, Nivine - who's so Divine, for a morning yoga class. I need to balance my life here. Less online, more Divine!
